Deck layout and sheeting system The standard deck layout has been developed during the first 2 years of sailing and proven to be reliable, easy to build, easy to maintain and easy to fix out in the open if something happens.  The open design also allows fast inspection on all moving parts, i.e. between starts.

Two service holes are standard and the forward contains the watertight screw top pot with battery and receiver, the aft service hole is an opening for the rudder servo which allows for a short, reliable and problem-free rod for the rudder tiller arm. The aft hole is also very easy to open and close again between race days for ventilation. The holes are also big enough (diam 75 mm) so a normal sized hand can get access to the boat interiors if needed.

The RMG280D winch is chosen due to its extreme strength, speed, reliablily and high quality - simply the state-of-the-art winch for radio sailing. Also, the winch is smart since it has an in-built BEC-circuit which can shut the power off for the winch so you can sail safely home when power gets low. The winch also turns itself off when its over-stressed before breaking the boat in case of a collision when a sheet accidentally may be hooked up etc. The RMG280D is also programmable to optimise sheeting lengths and non-linearity in an easy way. The speed can be varied by using up to 9V  batteries to make fast manoeuvres at rounding marks, tacking and gybing duels starting tactics easy.

Only the best and proven parts from SAILSetc, Elfa, Ironbill, ABIC Kemi and other hand-picked suppliers are chosen for the deck layout on the Azetone IOM race boat.
